INSTRUMENT 1 can hold eight presents (and you can hold an infinite amount on your iPad, iPhone, or computer). There are four factory presents, including Guitar, Violin, Piano, and Drums. Additionally, there are four user presents, which are customizable banks, giving you the ability to mix and match modes, methods, tunings, and sounds. This makes INSTRUMENT 1 a powerful, versatile MIDI controller, especially when used with a Digital Audio Workstations such as Logic Pro X, GarageBand, Able ton Live, Reason, Cubase, Pro Tools; and powerful VST plug-ins such as Contact, Serum, or BOLT. With its pressure- and velocity-sensitive fingerboard, the INSTRUMENT 1 allows for a new dimension of expressiveness. For instance, you’ll be able to continuously modulate effects even after a note has been triggered. Even string bending is made simple by using inward pressure on this smart playing surface. The INSTRUMENT 1 uses MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE), the new MIDI specification that allows for polyphonic, channel-by-channel playability. Used with our multidimensional controller, your music will never be the same. Slide a steel guitar, control an orchestra with one hand, and add a little vibrato to that synth performance. The INSTRUMENT 1’s ergonomic body has been designed to be played in multiple positions. Tilt, the INSTRUMENT 1’s answer to Mod Wheel (CC#1), is the most intuitive way to affect filters and other effects simple by moving the instrument up and down. Stay on key: The INSTRUMENT 1 has a build-in capo. Easily transpose up (or down.) 12 half steps, or set the capo to transpose the instrument in full octaves. Left- and right-handed performance has been made possible with the INSTRUMENT 1’s accelerometer. Either allow the instrument to figure out which ways it’s being held, or lock it into either lefty or right mode. The Antiphon INSTRUMENT 1 goes with you anywhere and sounds like anything. Its built-in battery lasts all day. The two stereo speakers allow for jamming with friends, while the built-in headphone jack allows for private performance, whether in the bedroom or on the subway.
