Vitamin C is best taken in small amounts throughout the day and night because it is rapidly lost from the body. However, this is not always convenient.

With this in mind’, Nature’s Best has formulated a time release vitamin C tablet, using a special process that retains the vitamin in micro-pellets allowing it to be released slowly after the tablet has been swallowed. This means that the absorption of vitamin C is a continuous process as the release from the tablet takes place over 6 hours, thus allowing the absorption of vitamin C into the blood stream to occur gradually.

PRODUCT FRESHNESS

Supplements are like foods when it comes to ‘best before’ dates and the date on the back of the label is there to show you how much longer you have before the supplement must be consumed. With exposure to moisture, and over time, nutrients often degrade. At Nature’s Best the best before date means the product will still contain the nutrient levels given on the label(with a few percent difference permitted each way) on that date, as long as the product has been kept in a cool dry place.

We also use small pots, holding less tablets, where we feel there may be a product that is vulnerable to moisture.

It is quite legal for supplements to be made overseas as bulk, then packed in the UK and given a UK or Channel Island address. However, we think consumers have the right to know where their supplements are made. Our pots carry our UK quality mark which is your assurance that the product inside has been genuinely made, not just packed in the UK, in factories working to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

ADDED BIOFLAVONOIDS – We’ve included 50mg of bioflavonoids, for they are believed to assist the absorption of vitamin C, a nutrient which contributes to normal collagen formation and the normal function of cartilage.
